The inaugural Louisiana Sportsman Open bass tournament will be held March 10-11 in conjunction with the Louisiana Sportsmen’s Show, and will feature a guaranteed $10,000 first-place prize.
“The Louisiana Sportsmen’s Show is the perfect venue for a bass tournament, offering a central weigh-location to highlight what a great fishery we have in South Louisiana,” show director Jack Fisher said.
The event, sponsored by Skeeter-Yamaha, will be a two-man team event with daily weigh-ins held at the Lamar-Dixon Center in Gonzales. All entrants will fish the first day, with the top 20 moving on to the final-day competition.
Entry fee is $200 per team, with an optional $20 big-bass pot. Teams are limited to no more than two anglers.
